An old site does not hurt you by being old. It hurts you by what it does to a customer.
These are the six faults we see most often. Each one says what happens to the person who is looking for you right now.
no mobile layout
The site opens shrunk to fit and has to be pinched and dragged to read.
What it costsMost people look you up on a phone, often while walking. If they cannot read the address, they go elsewhere.
no HTTPS
The address bar says “Not secure”.
What it costsThe browser tells every visitor that before they read a word about you. The certificate itself is free.
domain is down
The address does not load at all, or shows a hosting error.
What it costsYou pay for a domain that serves nothing. And if your email runs on it, enquiries may be failing silently.
Flash
Where the gallery or intro animation should be, there is a blank space.
What it costsFlash stopped working in every browser at the end of 2020. Nobody has seen that content since.
copyright 2011
The footer carries a year a decade or more out of date.
What it costsA customer draws one conclusion from it: we do not know whether this business still exists.
slow to load
The page takes five seconds or more on mobile data.
What it costsAfter three seconds people start leaving. Speed is also one of the factors search results are ranked by.
This is what a 2004 website looks like on a phone.
On the left, what customers currently see on plenty of Prague business sites. On the right, the same business rebuilt.

And if your site is fine?
Then we will tell you so and not pitch you anything. There are plenty of businesses that genuinely need the work. We have no reason to talk you into it.
Call us and read out your website address. We will tell you what is wrong with it.
Free, no strings, and no follow-up pestering. If the site turns out to be fine, we will tell you that too.
